Letter to the Editor: Words and conventions

I stayed up until the end on Thursday night watching the Republican convention and enjoyed watching the commentator/pundit free broadcast on CSPAN.

I started the week on Monday, flipping back and forth between CNN and Fox News, but I was totally frustrated by the constant interruptions. Thankfully, a friend of mine suggested that I switch over to CSPAN’s unfiltered version.

Unfortunately, the commentators/pundits on the conservative and liberal mainstream media are often biased and try to parse every word and statistic to suit their cause. They constantly interrupt proceedings while deciding what you need to see and what you don’t.

I really do not care what Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, etc. on Fox News or Wolfe Blitzer, Chris Cuomo, etc. on CNN and other mainstreamers think about what is being said or was said during the conventions.

I like to see and hear for myself. I will do the same as I watch the Democrat convention.

My suggestion: If you were/are not able to watch the conventions on CSPAN, find some place on the Internet where you can READ the unfiltered speeches from the Republican convention and then those that will be offered at the Democrat convention.

In other words, USE YOUR OWN MIND, to decide for whom you will vote rather than the drivel of the biased pundits in the media.
