FELTON — Police said Thursday that three arrests were made after investigation into two robberies in November.
Daequan Martin, 18, of Frederica, was arrested Wednesday for alleged involvement in a Nov. 21 armed robbery at the Canterbury Shore Stop. Charges included first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, and possession of a destructive weapon.
The Delaware State Police said Mr. Martin was identified as the suspect in the gas station robbery while detectives were conducting a separate burglary investigation occurring sometime between Nov. 28 and Nov. 30 at the Liberto Storage Facility at 1502 East Lebanon Road in Dover.
In the Liberto investigation, police alleged that Mr. Martin and two other persons used bolt cutters to remove a lock from a storage unit and remove over $3,500 worth of various personal items.

On Wednesday, detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence in Leipsic where Mr. Martin was taken into custody without incident, police said. Upon conducting the search, detectives located a 7.62 mm rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun with a modified barrel less than 18 inches in the bedroom in which Mr. Martin was staying, according to authorities.
Mr. Martin was transported to Troop 3 where he was charged with the alleged Canterbury offenses as well as additional charges of third-degree burglary, theft over $1,500, criminal mischief, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools. He was arraigned at JP Court 2 in Dover and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna on $121,000 secured bond.
The two other persons allegedly involved in the Liberto Storage Facility burglary, Christopher Forster, 37 of Dover, and Tanya P. Martin, 34 of Frederica, were also arrested on the same charges and released on unsecured bonds.
