Katie Stahr scored a pair of first-half goals to pace Lake Forest High to a 3-0 victory over Woodbridge in Henlopen Conference field hockey on Monday afternoon.
Julianna Tyndall added a goal in the second half with Mya Maddox contributing two assists for the Spartans (1-5-1 in conference, 2-5-1 overall), who have lost three one-goal games this season.
Goalie Brooke Tucker made one save for Lake Forest which finished with advantages of 22-1 in shots and 16-2 in corners.
Emily-Lynn Adams made 18 saves for the Raiders.

Delmarva Christian 1, Salisbury Christian, Md. 0: Joshua Azeltine’s first-half goal carried the Royals to the victory.
Volleyball
Cape Henlopen 3, Delmarva Christian 2: The Vikings outdueled the Royals to win the five-set match by scores of 19-25, 25-22, 25-19, 21-25, 15-7.
Leading Cape were Abigail E’Nama (11 kills, 3 aces, 10 blocks), Sophia Spinelli (9 kills, 4 aces), Madeline Holt (8 kills), Taylor Collier (5 kills, 5 aces, 13 digs) and Logan Shuttleworth (4 kills, 2 aces, 37 assists).
Sussex Tech 3, Seaford 0: The Ravens posted the victory by scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-19 on Monday.
College volleyball
Northeastern 3, Delaware 0: The Huskies (6-1 CAA, 16-5 overall), who took sole possession of first place in the CAA, captured the contest by set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 27-25.
The Blue Hens fell to 6-13 overall and 0-6 in league play while dropping their eighth consecutive match.
UD freshman outside hitter Maria Bellinger led Delaware with nine kills, while Autumn Jenkins added eight and Alexa Swann contributed six. Liz Tobey and Julia Anderson each handed out 13 assists for Delaware, while Taylor Hollingsworth made a team-leading 16 digs.
College football
DSU’s Sua-Godinet wins MEAC award: Delaware State wide receiver Fatu Sua-Godinet was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s Rookie of the Week for his play in the Hornets’ 27-17 loss to Hampton on Saturday.
The freshman caught five passes for 84 yards, including his first career touchdown on a 23-yard pass from Daniel Epperson to tie the score at 14-14 late in the second quarter. Sua-Godinent is second on the Hornets with 140 receiving yards and tied for third on the team with 10 receptions.
College field hockey
Wesley’s McIntyre honored: After leading the Wesley College field hockey team to a pair of wins this week, freshman goalkeeper Makenzie McIntyre was named the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
McIntyre totaled 14 saves in two games. She stopped seven shots in a 1-0 win over Frostburg State on Sunday, giving the Wolverines their first CAC win since 2014.
College soccer
UD men earn academic award: The Delaware men’s soccer team has been recognized again for its prowess in the classroom as the Blue Hens were named NSCAA College Team Academic Award honorees for the 2015-16 academic year.
To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The Hens, who were one of six CAA schools to be acknowledged, finished the school year with a 3.31 grade point average, just behind Drexel’s 3.36.
