Fallen firefighter honored

Fallen Lewes firefighter Tim McClanahan was laid to rest on Sunday with full fireman’s honors, as hundreds gathered to pay their respects at Cape Henlopen High School after he succumbed to his injuries in a training accident last Monday. The 46-year-old Lewes Fire Department member died after falling from a helicopter during Delaware Air Rescue Team training at Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown. Fallen Lewes firefighter Tim McClanahan was laid to rest on Sunday with full fireman’s honors, as hundreds gathered to pay their respects at Cape Henlopen High School after he succumbed to his injuries in a training accident last Monday. The 46-year-old Lewes Fire Department member died after falling from a helicopter during Delaware Air Rescue Team training at Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown.
