In a game played on Tuesday night, John Morgan threw four scoreless innings to help Camden-Wyoming reach the Pat Knight tournament’s championship round, defeating M.O.T. Blue 7-6.
Jaxson Maroney led the Camden-Wyoming offense with a 2-for-2 night. Maroney also scored a run.
M.O.T. Red 13, Smyrna-Clayton 7: Evan Bond had the game-winning hit in the eighth inning late Tuesday night for M.O.T. Red.
Rien McDonald went 3-for-4 with a home run while Zachi Chanblee added two hits for M.O.T. Red. Campbell Stark closed out the game in the bottom of the eighth.
Zach Lewis had a home run for Smyrna-Clayton.

Dover 22, Camden-Wyoming 16: The Dover squad captured the tournament title on Tuesday night behind Faith Sudler and Heaven Johnson who each belted a pair of homers.
College lacrosse
UD player selected to national team: Delaware rising senior Jamie Schwartz has been selected to try out for the 2017 U.S. Women’s Lacrosse National Team, US Lacrosse announced last week.
Schwartz (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) is one of 105 players selected for the tryouts, which will be held from Aug. 5-7 at the national team training center at US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.
Following the three-day tryout, approximately 36 players will be selected for the U.S. team, which will train in the lead-up to the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Women’s World Cup in Guildford, England. Ulti-mately, 18 players will represent the U.S. as the team goes for a third consecutive and eighth overall world title.
Schwartz, who appeared in all 17 games for the Blue Hens this spring, posted a career-best 45 points on a team-leading 29 goals and 16 assists. She ended the season ranked eighth in the Colonial Athletic Association in points, tied for eighth in assists, and ninth in goals.
