Wearing military fatigues and a big smile, St. John’s Lutheran School principal Dr. Dina Vendetti proved that “these colors don’t run” as she’s pelted with sponges full of red, white and blue paint from students and parents as part of a fundraiser at the school for the United Service Organization (USO). If the students and parents raised over ,000 she would endure the humorous hue-filled patriotic pummeling. As of Tuesday afternoon, the school raised ,500.
Even members of the local community like Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce marketing director J.R. Ennis got in on the act after making a donation to the USO on behalf of "The best little school in the universe" - St. John's Lutheran School in Dover.

DOVER – The students, faculty and parents of St. John’s Lutheran School in Dover have raised over $5,500 for the United Service Organization (USO) as part of their annual fundraising drive.
Because the school reached its goal of $5,000, principal Dr. Dina Vendetti subjected herself to another of her famous stunts. This year she was pelted with red, white and blue paint-filled sponges while wearing military fatigues in front of the entire student body all in the name of a good cause.
In the past 14 years the school has raised almost $70,000 for various charities and organizations.
