DOVER — Two Dover residents have been indicted on drug-related charges after allegedly being found with nearly 1,400 bags of heroin earlier this year.
Jamicheal Peck, 21, and Shakkiah Bodine, 22, were first confronted by Dover Police Department officers on Jan. 7 at the corner of New and Reed streets, authorities said, during a drug investigation that later detected 1,390 bags of heroin weighing 20.85 grams.
Probation and Parole also participated in the probe at approximately 5:07 p.m.
Ms. Bodine and Ms. Peck were taken into custody without incident, police said.
Charges brought by the Kent County grand jury on Monday included aggravated possession, drug dealing and second-degree conspiracy.
Mr. Peck’s address was listed as in the 100 block of Anne Avenue, while Ms. Bodine reportedly was living in the 400 block of New Castle Avenue.
Deputy Attorney General Zach George represented the state in the indictment.
