SMYRNA — Two drug deals involving Celtic Pub employees allegedly were made during an investigation that resulted in five arrests, police said.
According to the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement, employees Travis Boutin, of Smyrna, and Nicole Blanchfield, of Townsend, allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover DATE agent.
They were charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
Mr. Boutin also was charged with second-degree conspiracy and received a $6,000 unsecured bail.
Ms. Blanchfield was given a $5,000 unsecured bail.
Police said the arrests were made Thursday.

In addition, Nathan Muldowney, 31, of Earleville, Maryland, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and second-degree conspiracy, and issued a $6,000 unsecured bond.
Andrew Spear, 30, of Smyrna, was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a switchblade and given a $3,750 unsecured bail.
Amy Anderson, 42, of Smyrna, was charged with second-degree conspiracy, selling alcoholic beverages at a time prohibited and selling alcoholic beverages in violation of last call. She was given a $1,050 unsecured bail.
DATE said Smyrna Police provided information that illegal drug sales allegedly were being conducted at the pub at 699 Jimmy Drive.
“DATE and Smyrna PD launched a joint investigation into the Celtic Pub and during the course of an undercover investigation multiple employees of the Celtic Pub were found to be involved in and/or had direct knowledge of the sales of marijuana inside of the business,” Lt. Kevin Jones said in a news release.
DATE alleged that Ms. Anderson, a bartender, was seen serving more than one alcoholic beverage after last call as well as after 1 a.m.
On Thursday, authorities said, several DATE agents and Smyrna police officers served a search warrant at The Celtic Pub and arrested Mr. Boutin, Ms. Blanchfield and Ms. Anderson without incident.
Police said Mr. Boutin was found with $1,031 in cash, which was seized.
A second search warrant was executed at Mr. Boutin’s residence in the 500 block of Barley Court in Smyrna. While inside Boutin’s residence, police said, another tenant, Mr. Spear, allegedly was found in possession of marijuana, two loaded handguns and a switchblade, police said. Mr. Spear was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation found that Mr. Muldowney also allegedly was involved in marijuana distribution in and around The Celtic Pub, police said. Mr. Muldowney, who is unemployed, was arrested at a nearby residence and was found with $7,963 in cash, all of which was seized, police said.
All defendants were released under unsecured bonds after arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover.
Several liquor license violations for similar charges also will be forthcoming against the Celtic Pub, police said.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
