A scheduling conflict delayed an appearance by William M. Berry, of the 100 block of Greenbriar Road, who is facing two theft and forgery charges each, along with an unlawful use of payment card count.

All the alleged offenses involved transaction of $1,500 or more, according to court documents.

Mr. Berry, who resigned as Dover Little League president, was arrested Sept. 11, 2015, after Dover Police investigated allegations of misused funds. He was indicted on Dec. 7, 2015.

Deputy Attorney General Ben Snyder is prosecuting the case for the state, and attorney John Garey is representing Mr. Berry.
