DOVER – While chances of snow over the next 24 hours have lessened, the Delaware Department of Transportation warned that icy road conditions are possible as temperatures hover around freezing tonight into Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service said any snow in Dover will likely fall before 9 p.m. today, then be followed by isolated snow showers overnight. The low temperature will reach 30 degrees, with a chance of precipitation at 60 percent and accumulation of less than an inch of snow.
According to the NWS, snow conditions in Sussex County are less likely. DelDOT reported that a stretch of Del. 1 between Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach has been reopened after wet conditions lessened.
On Wednesday, Kent County may see snow showers before noon, with a slight chance of rain showers after that. The day will remain mostly cloudy with a high temperature of 39 degrees and 20 percent chance of precipitation.

DOVER – An overnight storm dropped mostly rain throughout central and southern Delaware, leaving roads wet and slushy as Tuesday’s morning work commute unfolded.
The Delaware Department of Transportation reported that up to 4 inches of snow is still possible later today, while the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
A coastal flood advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. today.
The NWS forecast an 80 percent chance of snow to begin falling after 4 p.m., with 1 to 3 inches possible. Overnight, accumulation of less than an inch is possible.
DelDOT urged caution when driving on Tuesday, with possible deterioration of visibility and road conditions possible in the coming hours.
Snow showers before 1 p.m. are possible for Wednesday, with a 30 percent chance of precipitation, the NWS said. Little or no snow accumulation is expected and the temperature should peak at 38 degrees.
Temperatures will drop as the week progresses, according to the NWS, with a high of near 30 degrees on Thursday, 29 on Friday, 25 on Saturday and 17 on Sunday.
